Breaking Ground for Averton's Newest Community
Last week Averton celebrated breaking ground on our Midtown project in St. Albert. Our team was joined by St. Albert Mayor Cathy Heron, Councillors Ray Watkins, Natalie Joly, Jacquie Hansen and Ken McKay, as well as CAO Kevin Scoble. This was a team effort that spanned 2 councils, many city staff changes and several vision iterations.
Situated on 45-acres in southwest St. Albert, Midtown is poised to become a transformational community of the region. The vision for Midtown is the product of years of collaboration and consultation.
A Innovative Community
We have worked with a diverse team of local, national, and international planners, architects, and designers to develop the blueprint for development of the future – a sustainable community with diverse houses, reimagined open spaces and mixed uses.
The Future of Midtown
Midtown will feature a variety of townhome types, mid-rise buildings, neighbourhood commercial and seniors active lifestyle options. We are planning to introduce our first phase to market in Spring 2020, and the community will take shape over the course of several years.
Midtown promises to be unlike anything in the Edmonton region and we look forward to showcasing our innovative approach to design excellence and quality, and bring something incredible to St. Albert.
